Working with Duotrope

I’ve been using Duotrope to track my submissions and to find new short story markets.  I’ve also been adding my stories to my control panel (there’s a handy page for “my pieces”) as I polish them up, before submitting.

The list has gotten a bit unwieldy, and I thought it might help me to organize it – the web page only lists the stories alphabetically.  I decided to reorganize it by date.  Ta-da!  Now I can see which are my early stories (and mostly ignore them, ha ha).  Dating to keep in order is tricky – best way I found was:

Year.Month.Day Title

So:

2011.07.02 Luca in the Jungle
2011.07.09 Purpose
etcetera…

I have a nice orderly list now!
