We met the goal to have 200 writers sign up to help support Clarion West – more than 225 writers (I’m on page 3)  will be part of Clarion West without attending the workshop.  We’re all promising to write and gather pennies/dimes/dollars in donations for Clarion West.

I’m so impressed with the people who are taking the workshop – can’t imagine leaving home and immersing myself in writing for six full weeks.  But I am hoping to write alongside them in spirit by doing this Write-a-thon.  My goal is to kickstart a novel.  I’ve been brainstorming for a month, and hope to get a solid 15K words done (over and above my short story work).

My flash story, “Taking Care of Ma,” comes out to email subscribers on Monday, June 25.  This is the third story of mine they’ve published.  Yay!
